make a day of it during your fitting at The Briderie in ROYAL TUNBRIdGE WELLS. Here are our top local food, drink + shopping recommendations

Whether you're a local bride, or travelling from far to see us, we want this day to be one for the core memory bank. With your loved ones in tow, itโ€™s the perfect excuse to make the most of your wedding dress experience at The Briderie in our lovely little town, Royal Tunbridge Wells, here our some of our favourite recommendations.

To start the day, there's nowhere better for artisan coffee and delicious breakfast options than St Kilda on Camden road, bringing a touch of Melbourne, Australia to Tunbridge Wells. Camden road is also home to Halstead bakery, a takeaway independent bakery, and lastly in this neck of the woods is a cool family-run independent record store + coffee shop, Even Flow.

Back down towards the train station in the village area of Tunbridge Wells is Juliets on the High Street, a lovely option for brunch, lunch or a hot drink + homemade sweet treat. Just along from Juliets, for the coffee lovers, do not miss Fine Grind. For other independent light bite lunch options, check out Basil in the main town or Hattons on the Pantiles.

For visitors, The Pantiles, a quaint Georgian colonnade featuring boutiques, galleries, open-air cafes, food + drink festivals and music events is a non-negotiable must-see.

For a little wonder pre or post appointment, you must head to the High Street + Chapel Place, some of our favourite fashion / lifestyle boutiques + independents here are Bod & Ted, Pink Mary and Le Petite Jardin. In the main shopping centre in Royal Victoria Place, brand new Danish interiors lifestyle store Sรธstrene Grene has recently opened and is well worth a visit. Tunbridge Wells is also a fabulous spot for charity shop bargain hunting.

For a hearty gastro style pub lunch with a nice atmosphere/surroundings check out The White Bear, Mount Edgcumbe or The Guinea, or a little further afield, The Beacon.

Ok, so you've said yes to the dress with us and you want to celebrate with some fizz, nearest to our studio is The Glasshouse, or head back down to The Pantiles to Charlotte's or Lemons Bar, both amazing independent craft-cocktail bars with small plates. For some obligatory bubbles, you could also try Framptons or Chapel Place.

If you want to head somewhere really special with your loved ones, then The Ivy on the High Street never lets you down. Also, super lovely and conveniently right by the train station is The Warren. For more elevated dining options, The Counter or Thackerays are in our opinion the best places to enjoy a little fine dining in central Tunbridge Wells.

If you find yourself short on time and would like to head for a drink or bite to eat within close proximity to the studio, then there is a Cรดte Brasserie minutes away.

Finally, some extra dining recommendations if none of the above are taking your fancy would be; for sourdough pizza check out Palette Pizza & Art + Cantuccio. For the best sushi in town, Kiko. For contemporary Indian cuisine Essence by Atul Kochha, which offers a wonderul lunch menu and finally for some delicious Tapas + fun cocktail combos try Sopranos or The Townhouse.
