The Briderie is a modern bridal space located in central Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, bordering East Sussex, catering to a fashion-forward bride.
Fiona, the Briderie’s founder is a former Fashion Buyer who has previously worked in the Fashion Industry for three lifestyle + womenswear labels for thirteen years.
With a long-term desire and vision for a career in bridalwear combined with the desire to work with garments in slower, more sustainable fashion with more ethical consideration, the Briderie [a long awaited day-dream + Instagram hobby] was finally put into motion and founded in early 2024.
The overall vision for the Briderie’s collections have always been about finding a sweet spot between bridalwear + fashion. The core aesthetic was inspired by a small part of Fiona’s own wedding day in May 2022, where her own wedding dress was styled in multiple fashions, Fiona felt there was more opportunity in versatile bridal styling through layering + transformative garments, effortlessly creating multiple bridal looks~in~one. This new way of bridal styling will always be at the heart of the Briderie, giving future brides the opportunity to curate their wedding~wear to cater to different moments of their day.
Fiona has ultimately sculpted and confidently built The Briderie on the philosophy of knowing she wanted to create something that she would have wanted to visit as a bride herself.
Fiona has curated partnerships with contemporary bridal designers who share the same sentiments, values + modern aesthetic. For the collections, the core aesthetic is clean and contemporary, with a wildly feminine + deeply romantic flair. Silhouette + cut are key at the Briderie, the silhouettes speak for themselves, they flatter and utilmately elevate, ensuring each bride simply feels a better version of themselves.
Part of our DNA are the little details, we do love embellishment + interest, but not in the generic sense.
Fiona purposely has collaborated with only female-founded UK + Irish designers, with ethical practices + made-to-order productions. The relationships held with The Briderie designers are truly meaningful and much considered partnerships.

The studio really is a safe space for you and your loved ones to immerse yourself in our little bridal bubble.

“The Briderie is the place for you if you want an experience that steers away from traditional bridal. We are not traditional, nor generic. I believe the Briderie sits in the era of new wave bridal, bridal~fashion.
‘Timeless’ is a word used so often in the bridal industry, but I’ve always felt this doesn’t sit with me nor my vision for the Briderie. Fashion isn’t always timeless. Your chosen bridal style is about how you feel in the moment, whether trends are followed or not. I believe in authentically being yourself and choosing bridal-wear that makes you happy, relaxed + comfortable. I’ve never been influenced by the classic or understated, I really resonate with unique, authentic + unconventional gowns that celebrate a free-spirit and break down the norms of what a wedding dress should be, our collections don’t necessarily fit the mould of timeless, and we are really content with that.
